“We are hard at work getting Government to reach out to persons with disability” – NCPD Board Chair

The leadership of the National Council on Persons with Disabilities and the Ghana Federation of Disability Organizations has been in touch with the government to alleviate the plight of disabled persons with no and low income by making provision for their sustenance during this period of the COVID-19 crisis.

This was made known by the board chair of the National Council on Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Yaw Ofori Debra on the 9th of April, 2020 via his personal Facebook account

"The Governmental support is starting with PWDs in the lockdown areas and the initial help is a hot meal a day. Those outside the ration areas who are homebound because of Social distancing precautions are yet to be reached for sustenance. We are hard at work Getting Government to reach out to every one of them"

The board chair of the National Council on Persons with Disabilities provided a contact number to the general public desirous to extend aid of any form for persons with disabilities.
