JUDICIAL SERVICE COMMISSION ALLEVIATED THE GAMBIA’S FIRST AND ONLY VISUALLY IMPAIRED MAGISTRATE TO A POSITION OF PRINCIPAL MAGISTRATE

Another historic moment realised in the history of the Gambia’s judiciary is that on Tuesday 1st September, 2020, Judiciary Service Of The Gambia promoted Magistrate Muhammed Krubally to the position of Principal Magistrate. Magistrate Krubally was alleviated together with five other magistrates who were sighted ones.

Magistrate Krubally with other magistrates took oaths of allegiance and another oath of execution of the functions of the office. He amongst other magistrates took oaths that they will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Republic Of The Gambia according to law. Another oath taken by His Worship Krubally amongst other magistrates was that, they will execute the functions of the office of the Principal Magistrates without fear or favour, affection or ill will according to the Constitution and other laws of the Gambia.
Their oaths were signed by themselves and the Chief Justice of the Gambia, herein called Hassan Abubacarr Jallow.
The said Magistrates including Magistrate Krubally will in one week time be posted to various Magistrates Courts in various parts of the country and each Principal Magistrate shall be the head of each Magistrate Court.
