How Donald Unanka Was Denied Boarding Aircraft To Ghana

Donald Unanka is a polio survivor from Nigeria, and had to travel to Ghana for British Council festival management training. On the 30th April, 2019 he was denied boarding an aircraft flying from Abuja to Accra, the aircraft belongs Africa World Airline.
When Donald Unanka approached the airline for explanation, the airline officials told him that he cant board the aircraft because he is on wheelchair and the aircraft is small and that it will be difficult to board the aircraft. Every attempt to make sure that Donald Unanka board the aircraft even with assistance of his personal was rejected by the airline.
The airline by this action violated their policy on equal opportunity, and a clear violation of the provision of the Nigeria disability law and also Article 4 states obligation of the UNCRPD.
